We’re galvanizing support for an amendment to Ontario’s Labour Relations Act, 1995 so that municipalities are no longer considered “construction employers”. Closing this loophole would allow ALL municipalities to fairly and openly tender publically funded construction projects to all qualified contractors and workers, regardless of union affiliation, or lack thereof. Fair and open competition on publically funded construction projects ensures the best possible value for taxpayers. Our awareness effort is led by the Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA). LATEST NEWS: New poll: Resounding number of Ontarians fed up with squandered tax dollars.
